Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Deliver Yokogawa Technical Support Department (TSD) commitments to our customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring process up-time and system performance as per contractual agreement with the customer, as per assignment.
• Participate in add-on / expansion service projects (Non POC) during Engineering phase, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and commissioning phases as required.
• Need to carry out Preventive and corrective maintenance of the Yokogawa’s portfolio of products, carry out Hardware and software upgrades.
• Actively participate in Yokogawa’s TSD/RSD growth plans and identify opportunities to provide additional services in the installed base.
• Depending on business requirement, role can be on-shore or off-shore, short duration or long duration (e.g. resident site support engineer) and provide overall on-site leadership.
• 24 x 7 on call support, as per assignment.
• Support any and all the Service department related activities as assigned by Department Management &/or Reporting Manager.
• Directs the activities of other on-site Yokogawa personnel in the resolution of system problems and/or the startup and commissioning efforts.
• Submits weekly reports to Service management per need, e.g. regarding startup efforts, punch list items, assistance required from management and/or the resolution of system level problems.
• Provides a high order of troubleshooting and consultation support to field personnel on complex systems problems within his or her field of specialization.
• Provides Sales Representatives with client information regarding the sale of future Yokogawa solutions.
• Work to support business plan of TSD to meet Accelerated Growth (AG) targets.
• Support any and all the Service dept. activities as assigned by Department Management &/or Reporting Manager.

Qualification And Experience

• A Degree in Engineering Field preferably Control Systems / Instrumentation / Electrical; and Electronics .
• Preferably 5 - 10 years experience in the Maintenance/Startup of Control System / Experience in DCS/ESD/SCADA systems, particularly in Oil/Gas and Petrochemicals as well as filed instruments.
• Experience working with OEMs will be an added advantage, particularly with prior Yokogawa experience.
