Service Engineer

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Deliver prompt technical support for CENTUM VP, ProSafe-RS, and PRM systems.
• Execute on-site commissioning, startup assistance, and emergency support.
• Manage inquiries and troubleshoot, investigate, analyze, test, and resolve issues from client sites.
• Support add-on and expansion service projects through engineering, FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including hardware and software modifications and upgrades.
• Implement online and offline system modifications and enhancements.
• Support customer satisfaction, process uptime, and system performance; provide customized client training when requested.
• Identify additional service opportunities within existing client accounts and contribute to service-division growth.
• Adapt to onshore and offshore assignments and short- or long-term resident site support.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• Five to eight years maintaining Yokogawa DCS (CS3000 or CENTUM VP), ProSafe-RS, and PRM systems; proficiency in Foundation Fieldbus, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, and networking.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and predictive and preventive maintenance, with extensive site startup and commissioning experience; plant-sector experience is preferred.
• Flexibility to travel extensively throughout KSA and work collaboratively in a team.
• Proficiency in written, spoken, and reading English.

Competencies and skills

• Strong understanding of Yokogawa DCS and ESD engineering and online maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with safety standards, guidelines, and functional safety management concepts; TUV certification is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of control techniques and optimization methodologies.
• Strong communication, customer focus, and commitment to service excellence.
