Sergeant
Role Overview
Reports to the designated lieutenant.
Directly supervises assigned correctional officers.
Responsible for the custody and discipline of inmates in the facility in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC), Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) and Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) directives.

Education and Experience
- Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years’ experience in an adult correctional environment or related field required. Prior supervisory experience preferred. A valid driver's license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived by management.

- Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.
