Full-time, on-site Senior Welding Inspector position based in Abu Dhabi.
The role focuses on inspecting welded structures and components and verifying compliance with standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspect welded structures and components in detail.
- Review welding procedures and documentation; supervise and audit welding activities.
- Perform visual examinations and coordinate non-destructive examinations.
- Prepare clear inspection reports and coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues.
- Support quality assurance and quality control, and improve inspection methods.
- Uphold safety and quality standards, mentor junior inspectors, and promote best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong welding inspection and welding expertise, including interpreting welding procedures, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in quality control and quality assurance, plus inspection experience including visual inspection and non-destructive testing coordination.
- Relevant welding inspection qualification, such as CSWIP, AWS CWI, or equivalent.
- Technical diploma or engineering degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or a related discipline.
- Industrial project experience involving welded structures, for example in oil and gas, energy, or infrastructure.
- Strong report writing, attention to detail, and clear communication of technical findings.
- Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and ethical conduct; able to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and adapt to project demands.
