Senior Water Quality Engineer (Healthcare Facilities)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor water quality systems across healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with HTM and DoH guidelines.
- Oversee potable water, domestic water, and specialized systems (e.g., hot and cold water systems, storage tanks, and distribution networks).
- Implement water safety plans, including Legionella control and prevention measures.
- Conduct routine water sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead risk assessments related to water hygiene and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection of water systems and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinate with Facilities Management, MEP, and HSEQ teams for integrated operations.
- Support audits, inspections, and healthcare accreditation processes.
- Review system designs, modifications, and upgrades to ensure compliance with healthcare requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reports related to water quality and compliance.
- Investigate water-related incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized/accredited university approved by the UAE Ministry of Education.
- Minimum 10 years of total experience in water quality or water systems engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in healthcare facilities.
- Minimum 5 years of Facilities Management experience, preferably on similar projects.
- Strong knowledge of Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and Department of Health (DoH) guidelines.
- Proven experience in water hygiene, water safety planning, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with UAE regulations and international best practices for water quality management.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
