About the Role
SES is hiring a Senior Virtualization Engineer (L2/L3) at a client site in Saudi Arabia.
The role administers, supports, optimizes, and troubleshoots enterprise virtualization platforms in a mission-critical data center.
The position provides advanced Level 2 and Level 3 support to maintain availability, performance, security, and scalability of virtualized workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, and related infrastructure.
- Provide L2/L3 support for virtual servers, clusters, hypervisors, virtual storage, and virtual networking.
- Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot incidents, outages, and performance issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Maintain high-availability and fault-tolerant configurations for business-critical services.
- Plan and execute VM provisioning, migrations, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
- Administer vCenter Server, SCVMM, and associated monitoring solutions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in enterprise virtualization and data center infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Willing to relocate to the client site in Saudi Arabia within two months.
- Work standard shifts and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Skills and Technologies
- VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter administration.
- Microsoft Hyper-V administration and Nutanix AHV / HCI infrastructure.
- Virtual storage and virtual networking; high availability and disaster recovery.
- Enterprise backup and replication solutions.
- Performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- PowerShell / PowerCLI automation; incident and problem management.
- Infrastructure security and hardening.
Preferred Certifications
- VCP-DCV and VCAP certifications are marked preferred.
- Microsoft Windows Server / Azure Administrator, Nutanix Certified Professional, ITIL Foundation, and Veeam Certified Engineer certifications are listed.
