About Phoenix

Phoenix describes itself as a Canadian telehealth platform aiming to make specialist healthcare more accessible.

The company says its team collaborates in person.

Role overview

Seeking an experienced, creatively driven Senior Video Editor to lead editing quality, consistency, and evolution across Phoenix and Raven.

The role owns post-production look, feel, and execution; sets creative standards; mentors editors; and develops workflows for content production at scale.

The position combines hands-on editing with creative leadership, focused particularly on DTC, paid social, and UGC-style advertising.

What you'll do

  • Own and evolve editing style, visual storytelling, and post-production standards across both brands.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor editors, providing creative direction, feedback, and skill development.
  • Review team edits for creative quality, brand consistency, and performance alignment.
  • Develop editing guidelines, templates, and best practices to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Edit video ads and content for Meta, TikTok, and other digital platforms.
  • Work with Creative Strategists and production to turn briefs and footage into engaging, goal-driven assets.
  • Apply hooks, pacing, storytelling, retention, and conversion principles.
  • Lead testing of new editing styles, formats, and storytelling approaches.
  • Own post-production from footage handoff to final delivery, meeting creative, timeline, and technical requirements.
  • Maintain editing workflows, file organization, version control, and asset management.
  • Ensure technical standards for audio, colour, motion graphics, captions, and platform-specific formatting.

What you'll bring

  • At least 5 years of professional video-editing experience, ideally in DTC, e-commerce, performance marketing, or a fast-paced creative agency.
  • A portfolio demonstrating compelling storytelling, creative versatility, and short-form, social-first video content.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or reviewing other editors and giving constructive creative feedback.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar post-production tools.
  • Organizational skills and experience managing workflows, project files, versioning, and concurrent deliverables.
  • Strong communication and collaboration across creative strategy, production, and marketing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment while maintaining creative quality.

Preferred experience

  • Familiarity with AI-powered editing tools and interest in emerging post-production technologies.
  • Motion graphics and animation skills in After Effects are a plus.
  • Experience with healthcare, wellness, or other regulated industries is a plus.
  • Professional use of AI-powered video generation, editing, or automation tools is a plus.
