Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

BNY is seeking Engineers who amplify team impact through technical leadership and force‐multiplier behaviors. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Build software with a reliability‐first mindset, incorporating secure coding practices, observability, testing, and disciplined rollout/rollback strategies.
• Ensure production systems meet required levels of resiliency, performance, scalability, and operability. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• 10-14 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and the design of RESTful and streaming‐based APIs.
• Hands‐on experience delivering cloud‐native solutions, including microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores, selected and applied appropriately at scale.
• Experience leveraging AI‐enabled capabilities, including GenAI or ML‐driven services, to enhance developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes, with a pragmatic understanding of responsible use, scalability, and integration into enterprise platforms.
