The Senior UX Designer will raise design quality across Simpro's product organization by setting standards and providing design authority.
The role emphasizes intentional, cohesive product UI through design systems, standards, and the credibility to guide their adoption.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve the design system and component library, setting standards used by product managers and engineers.
- Define UX guidelines, principles, and governance frameworks so design quality scales beyond the design team.
- Lead usability testing and discovery interviews, synthesize insights, and turn findings into product direction.
- Partner with product and engineering on complex cross-product features, facilitating trade-offs while advocating for users.
- Prototype and validate concepts quickly to keep pace with AI-accelerated development cycles.
- Coach and mentor designers on best practices and design in the AI era.
- Take concepts from wireframes through polished, production-ready designs and into code when needed.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, including meaningful time in B2B, B2C, or SaaS.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, not only polished screens.
- Hands-on experience with AI design and prototyping tools such as v0, Cursor, Figma AI, Claude, or similar.
- Confidence running research, including recruiting, facilitation, and synthesis.
- Solid HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript knowledge to communicate with engineers and build when needed.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication.
