About This Role
Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
The role also involves managing accounts for flight operations, ground handling, fuel charges, landing fees, and vendor payments to ensure smooth financial operations for business trips.
****Key Responsibilities:**
1. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process invoices (ground handling, fuel suppliers, airport charges).
- Ensure timely payments to vendors while optimizing cash flow.
- Prepare customer invoices for trip support services.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and manage reconciliations.
2. Financial Reporting & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate financial records of all transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts regularly.
3. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure adherence to local tax laws and aviation-specific financial regulations.
- Prepare and submit VAT/GST returns if applicable.
- Assist auditors during internal and external audits.
4. Cost Control & Analysis
- Monitor operational costs for each trip, including landing fees, handling charges, fuel, crew expenses, and other miscellaneous costs.
- Analyze variances between budgeted and actual expenses.
- Provide cost-saving recommendations to the manager.
5. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with the commercial, operations, and finance teams to ensure all trip-related expenses are accurately recorded.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding financial matters.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in an aviation trip support company.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and local tax regulations.
- Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with Odoo will be an added advantage
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- **Prior experience from a trip support company is mandatory.**
