Sun UW MGA FZ-LLC is seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially driven Senior Trade Credit & Surety Underwriter to support the continued expansion of its international specialty underwriting operations.
This is a senior-level opportunity for an established market professional with strong broker relationships, technical underwriting expertise, and preferably an existing portfolio or proven production capability within Trade Credit and/or Surety Bond business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of underwriting strategy, portfolio growth, and international distribution across selected markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of:
• Trade Credit Insurance
- Contract Surety
- Commercial Surety
• Customs & Tax Bonds
- Financial Guarantee and Structured Credit risks (where applicable)
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, cedants, and corporate clients internationally
- Assess risk quality, financial exposure, collateral structures, and counterparty performance
- Structure and negotiate underwriting terms, pricing, limits, and security requirements
- Assist in portfolio management, aggregation control, and exposure monitoring
- Collaborate with reinsurance partners regarding capacity support and risk sharing structures
- Support the development of underwriting guidelines, product wordings, and internal procedures
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and expansion into new territories and distribution channels

Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant underwriting experience within:
- Insurance Companies
- MGAs
- Lloyd’s market
- International Trade Credit or Surety markets
- Strong technical underwriting and analytical capabilities
- Existing broker network and market relationships preferred
- Proven ability to develop profitable portfolios
- Experience handling international and cross-border business
- Commercially minded with strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Ability to operate independently within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment

- Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Existing transferable portfolio or broker production
- Experience in emerging markets, MENA, Africa, CIS, Asia, or Latin America
- Experience working with delegated authority or MGA structures
- Multi-class specialty underwriting background
