Key responsibilities
- Perform primary testing for CT, VT, circuit breakers, GIS, and switchgear.
- Perform secondary testing for protection relays and associated systems.
- Test advanced distance and differential relays and simpler overcurrent and earth-fault relays.
- Read, understand, and modify electrical schematics, SLDs, and protection panel drawings.
- Use manufacturer test sets such as Megger and Omicron or equivalent.
- Prepare test reports and support commissioning and field activities.
- Adapt to new products and technologies and demonstrate willingness to learn.
Required experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a Testing Engineer or Senior Testing Engineer.
- Proven experience in Saudi Electricity Company projects and substations.
- Saudi Electricity Company approval is required.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Electricity Company schematics, standards, and protection panel drawings.
- Experience with Schneider, Alstom, ABB, Siemens, and Alfanar products, and ability to work on new products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous work history with Saudi Electricity Company is preferred.
- Relevant training courses in testing, protection, commissioning, or substation systems are preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
