Validate the scalability, stability, reliability, and responsiveness of a high-volume track-and-trace platform.
Work with QA, development, architecture, infrastructure, database, and business teams to identify performance risks and support expected and peak transaction volumes.
Performance testing and analysis
- Define and maintain the performance-testing strategy, test plan, workload model, scripts, and performance acceptance criteria.
- Gather non-functional requirements covering volumes, TPS, concurrency, integrations, throughput, response times, batch timelines, data retention, and database growth.
- Model normal, peak, seasonal, and exceptional business conditions; run load, stress, spike, endurance, scalability, capacity, volume, and failover tests.
- Test track-and-trace processes, EPCIS and external integrations, bulk uploads, batch jobs, reports, dashboards, and data extraction.
- Measure transaction and API throughput, response times, event latency, queue performance, errors, resource use, database performance, and application-layer performance.
- Find bottlenecks across application, database, middleware, API gateway, queue, network, and infrastructure layers; coordinate troubleshooting and validate improvements.
- Establish release baselines; report results, dashboards, bottlenecks, risks, and recommendations.
- Support capacity planning and infrastructure sizing; integrate tests into CI/CD where applicable.
- Maintain reusable scripts, test data, monitoring configurations, and performance-testing documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 4–6 years of experience in performance and non-functional testing.
- Hands-on experience with Apache JMeter, K6, LoadRunner, Azure Load Testing, or similar cloud-based tools.
- Strong experience testing REST APIs, web applications, middleware, message queues, and batch-processing systems.
- Experience with API tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, Splunk, or similar.
- Good understanding of SQL, database performance, query analysis, and data-volume testing.
