About This Role
Required Experience
- 6+ years of total automotive experience.
- Strong mechanical background: engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, and electrical systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on hybrid vehicle experience.
- Hands-on experience on electric vehicles (EV): battery, motor, inverter, and charging systems.
- Valid EV high-voltage (HV) safety certificate is required.
- Manufacturer training from a major brand (Toyota, Lexus, BYD, Tesla, Hyundai, Nissan, etc.).
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead and complete complex repair jobs on EV, hybrid, and mechanical vehicles.
- Diagnose difficult problems using scan tools, oscilloscopes, and service manuals.
- Work safely on high-voltage (HV) systems and follow all safety steps.
- Be the technical reference point for the team.
- Train and guide junior and mid-level technicians on hybrid and EV systems.
- Do quality check on critical repair jobs and sign them off before delivery.
- Support the supervisor in planning daily work and managing tools.
- Complete job cards and update the work order system.
- Test vehicles after repair to confirm quality.
- Report any safety or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.
