Senior Technical Product Manager, ML Platform

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the ML Platform roadmap while balancing team needs, reliability, cost efficiency, scalability, and technical debt.
• Partner with technical leads across model building, model serving, experimentation, and the LLM platform; validate direction before committing teams.
• Translate applied scientists’ and ML engineers’ needs into feature briefs, written proposals, and priorities.
• Track MLOps, LLMOps, and AI infrastructure trends and bring evidence-based build-versus-buy options.
• Lead discovery for new capabilities and validate technical approaches and user value before work starts.
• Coordinate dependencies and progress across teams and partners such as Security, Legal, and Data Platform.

Required qualifications

• At least five years in technical product management or a closely related role, including roadmap ownership and setting priorities.
• Hands-on understanding of production ML systems, including training pipelines, deployment and serving, and monitoring, gained through software engineering, ML engineering, or data science.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to write clear proposals and align technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive problem-solving and a habit of validating ideas early with technical experts and users.

Preferred qualifications

• Product management experience with an internal ML, data, or developer platform serving engineers or data scientists.
• Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps tooling such as MLflow, SageMaker, Kubernetes-based serving, model monitoring, LLM gateways, or evaluation.
• Experience driving platform adoption, retiring legacy tools, and migrating teams to new tools.
• Experience improving product practices in teams without a product manager and building trust with experienced engineers.
