Role overview

Strategy and architecture responsibilities

• Develop technology strategies and roadmaps across production, content management, broadcast, streaming, and digital distribution.
• Identify modernization opportunities using cloud, software-defined infrastructure, automation, data, and AI.
• Assess opportunities, architecture, costs, affected teams, effort, dependencies, benefits, and technology-stack simplification.
• Engage business leaders, internal teams, external partners, and vendors; evaluate emerging platforms and lead trials.
• Prepare multiyear financial analyses and recommendations, and present plans, progress, and risks to senior leadership.
• Align investments with business strategy and balance innovation with scalability, reliability, interoperability, security, and maintainability.

Critical qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree or experience.
• At least 8 years of solution architecture experience and professional experience in a related technology discipline.
• Ability to connect technology and media-industry changes with long-term business strategy.
• Deep understanding of the OTT video ecosystem and video services industry.
• Video technology expertise, media AI/ML strategy, video or streaming implementation, and relevant cloud/data experience are preferred.

Additional preferred qualifications

• Experience across business, technology, engineering, and operational organizations is preferred.
• Problem-solving, communication, organization, negotiation, influence, analysis, and decision-making skills are preferred.
• Ability to communicate with different organizational levels and give strategic guidance is preferred.

Work arrangement and locations

• The work arrangement is hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week at a set Bell office.
• Listed job locations are Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa, Ontario, and Montreal, Quebec; successful candidates must be based in Canada.
