The Role
As a Senior Tax Accountant at Reach, you'll play a key role in managing our global indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Working as part of our Tax team, you'll own the end-to-end preparation and filing of VAT, GST, and sales tax returns while supporting a fast-growing global Merchant of Record platform.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical tax expertise with process improvement, automation, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic FinTech environment.
What You'Ll Do
- Prepare and file VAT, GST, and sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate compliance
- Analyze transaction data, investigate discrepancies, and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Research changes in international tax legislation and assess their impact on Reach
- Support internal teams with tax-related inquiries and compliance guidance
- Contribute to automation initiatives and AI-assisted tax workflows
- Partner with Data, Operations, and Finance teams to improve tax processes and reporting
What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience in indirect tax or tax accounting
- Experience managing multi-jurisdiction VAT, GST, or sales tax compliance
- Strong understanding of indirect tax principles
- Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related discipline
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Interest in AI-assisted workflows and process automation
Nice To Have
- Professional accounting or tax qualification (or currently pursuing one)
- Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm experience
- Experience supporting tax audits
- US sales tax experience
- Experience working with third-party tax advisors
- FinTech, ecommerce, or startup experience
