Overview
We are hiring for a
Senior Supervisor – Safety
to oversee and support the effective implementation of localized corporate safety programs across assigned plant operations.
The role involves ensuring that all safety strategies, policies, and procedures are properly executed to maintain a safe working environment.
You will be responsible for driving the adoption of robust safety practices, ensuring compliance with both international and local legislation, and aligning operations with world-class safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement approved departmental policies, systems, and procedures across all safety functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements while delivering consistent, cost-effective services.
- Oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) for high-risk areas (e.g., gas systems and hazardous materials); conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and ensure adherence to safety-critical controls.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to strengthen safety controls, mitigate risks, and develop key safety documentation, including hazardous area classification, fire and safety layouts, escape routes, and traffic management plans.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 45001, and local regulations; monitor adherence to safety standards and conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews with corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures using methodologies such as FMEA and Bowtie analysis; share lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
- Leverage data analytics to track safety performance (incident rates, near misses, exposure trends), develop dashboards, and apply predictive insights to proactively minimize risks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; professional membership preferred.
Certifications such as ADOSH, NEBOSH IGC, or IOSH are an advantage.
Minimum of total 2-3 years relevant
working experience in HSE, Technical, Operations, Process Design, or Engineering functions.
