Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise erection and installation of steel structures for overground metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
• Ensure structural works follow approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes, including IS, IRC, and Eurocode.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues on site.
• Monitor construction progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare reports on structural works, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for steel structures.
• Liaise with design teams on site-related design modifications and clarifications.
• Maintain inspection, approval, and quality records.

About you

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 15 or more years of experience in building projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and erection techniques.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing, and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM tools is a plus.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
