Senior Structural Engineer

About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to oversee the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations. This full-time position involves ensuring structural integrity, quality, and compliance with international standards throughout the construction phase of various station components, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for OG metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
• Ensure all structural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (IS, IRC, Eurocode, etc.).
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Monitor construction progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on structural works, including non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals related to steel structures.
• Liaise with design teams to address site-related design modifications or clarifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, approvals, and quality records.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on steel structures.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising the erection and installation of complex steel structures, preferably within metro or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of international structural codes and standards (IS, IRC, Eurocode, etc.).
