Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and design documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct structural inspections, assessments, and technical investigations as required.
• Provide technical guidance during tender evaluation and construction stages.
• Review contractor shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and RFIs.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory authority requirements.
• Identify engineering risks and propose practical, economical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• At least 10–15 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Extensive experience in structural design and construction supervision.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD; Revit experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, British Standards, the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and local authority regulations.
• UAE consultancy experience is highly preferred.
• Registration with Abu Dhabi Municipality is required; if employed, the candidate must apply for the ADM test for professional engineers.

Pay

• AED 18,000–20,000 per month.
