Senior Structural Design Engineer

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design development across all project stages (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, IFC).
• Perform advanced structural analysis and design calculations for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Develop, review, and optimize structural models using ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency of structural systems, load distribution, stability analysis, and code compliance.
• Review and validate structural calculations, design assumptions, and engineering solutions.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, reports, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and infrastructure teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Identify and resolve structural design issues, including unsafe members, load path conflicts, and coordination clashes.
• Participate in technical meetings, client presentations, and design workshops.
• Support value engineering studies and propose optimized structural solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and support internal technical quality processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in structural design consultancy.
• Strong expertise in:

• Steel Structure Design

• Foundation Design

• ETABS Modeling & Analysis

• Expert-level proficiency in:
• ETABS
• SAFE
• SAP2000
• AutoCAD
• Revit Structure
• Strong understanding of international design codes and Saudi Building Code requirements.
• Proven ability to handle complex structural systems and resolve technical design challenges.
• Excellent technical leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in governmental and mega projects.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
• PMP, PE, or related professional certifications are considered an advantage.
