Senior Structural Design Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for building projects in compliance with local authority requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members on innovative, cost-effective solutions.
• Review engineering designs for quality and safety.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians.
• Apply quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout project execution.
• Coordinate with MEP, architecture, and utilities disciplines.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or structural engineering is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of structural engineering experience focused on building structure design is required.
• Experience with building, water-retaining, steelwork, or related infrastructure design is required.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with MEP, architecture, and utilities is required.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro and CAD tools is required.
• Experience in a 3D design environment is required, while BIM protocol experience is desirable.
• Professional engineering license or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is advantageous.
• Knowledge of retail, commercial, or industrial sector practices is advantageous.
