Full-time senior structural design engineer role based in ATI's Sharjah office.
The role is responsible for structural design, analysis, and calculations using governing codes, standards, engineering formulas, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and calculate concrete, steel, and other structural systems from concept through detailed design, approvals, and tender or construction documentation.
- Coordinate with architecture, MEP, and other project teams to integrate designs and resolve interfaces.
- Prepare and coordinate structural drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and technical documents.
- Guide the design team and modellers and ensure designs and documentation comply with applicable codes and standards.
- Review calculations, drawings, and technical documents for accuracy, coordination, and compliance with project and authority requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and authorities to resolve design issues and support approvals.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; a postgraduate degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience delivering complex, high-profile projects within an international design consultancy.
- At least 5 years of relevant consultancy experience in the UAE.
- Sharjah Municipality Unlimited license holder.
- High competency in ETABS, SAFE, Prokon, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, building component assemblies, building codes, standards, and technical references.
- Well organized with strong analytical skills to resolve complex problems.
