Key responsibilities
- Serves as the functional lead, possess deep knowledge of core systems and takes full responsibility for the team's code, design, and project delivery, ensuring high quality and on-time completion
- Tackles complex technical challenges independently for complex systems, demonstrating technical depth and proficiency in multiple programming languages
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and areas for optimization
- Contribute to architectural discussions, propose innovative solutions, and evaluate trade-offs to make informed technical decisions
- Collaborate with product managers to decompose large projects into manageable tasks and prioritize work effectively
- Build the next-generation user experience and the platforms required to enable intuitive content discovery for our customers
- Work with the engineering team to optimize applications for performance and scalability across various platforms, Mobile, Web, and Living Room devices
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other developers
- Skills and attributes for success:
- Strong coding and designing skills (Java or Golang)
- Experience in building high-scale distributed domain-driven microservices
- Proficiency with databases like MySQL, NoSql (Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB)
- Embrace new technologies and work with various tools and technologies to achieve the desired functionality
- Experience with AWS stacks like SQS, Dynamo DB, EKS, Aurora, etc. will be an added advantage
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues in production environments
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborate well within a team environment to achieve desired results
- Preferred education and experience:
- Bachelor's/master's in computer science or a related field with 7-10 years of development experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS stacks like SQS, Dynamo DB, EKS, Aurora, etc. will be an added advantage
