Responsibilities

• Shape solutions that meet aggressive RTO and RPO targets at petabyte scale.
• Accelerate the enterprise data protection and resilience roadmap while balancing innovation, performance, reliability, and compliance.
• Collaborate with customers, engineering, cloud infrastructure, security operations, governance, field teams, and UX.
• Connect data protection strategy to AI/ML and analytics workloads, including training datasets, model checkpoints, feature stores, and pipelines.
• Anticipate technology and regulatory trends and differentiate enterprise data protection offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of product management, including 6+ years leading enterprise-scale data protection, backup and recovery, or disaster recovery products, including for Managed Service Providers.
• Deep expertise in backup software and storage, deduplication, compression, snapshots, replication, immutable and air-gapped storage, ransomware recovery, DR orchestration, and RPO/RTO optimization.
• Proven success integrating resilience capabilities into petabyte-scale enterprise platforms with measurable customer outcomes.
• Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud architecture, data residency and sovereignty, tiering, and cost optimization.
• Strong technical and executive communication, customer engagement, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking skills.

Additional expertise

• Relevant platforms include Rubrik, Veeam, Cohesity, Commvault, Zerto, NetBackup, AWS Backup, Azure Backup, and Google Cloud Backup and DR.
• Protect AI/ML and analytics workloads from corruption, accidental deletion, and ransomware.
• Understand retention lifecycle management, legal hold, eDiscovery readiness, and compliance schedules for PII, PHI, and PCI data.
