Role overview

Product strategy and collaboration

• Accelerate the enterprise data protection and resilience roadmap while balancing innovation, performance, reliability, compliance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with customers, engineering, cloud infrastructure, security operations, governance, field teams, and UX.
• Define product vision, roadmap, and execution for backup, recovery, and resilience capabilities that meet business and technical objectives.

Education and product experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 12 or more years of product management experience, including 6 or more years leading enterprise data protection, backup and recovery, or disaster recovery products, including for Managed Service Providers.

Technical qualifications

• Deep expertise across backup software and storage, deduplication, compression, snapshots, replication, immutable and air-gapped storage, ransomware recovery, disaster recovery orchestration, and RPO/RTO optimization.
• Experience embedding resilience capabilities into enterprise platforms at petabyte scale, with measurable customer SLA and recovery-confidence improvements.
• Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, data residency and sovereignty, storage tiering, and cost optimization.
• Expertise in enterprise backup topologies, cyber resilience, and Agentic AI data protection across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of platforms such as Rubrik, Veeam, Cohesity, Commvault, Zerto, or NetBackup and cloud services such as AWS Backup, Azure Backup, or Google Cloud Backup and DR.

Workload protection and product insight

• Connect backup strategy to AI/ML and analytics workloads, protecting training datasets, model checkpoints, feature stores, and data pipelines.
• Understand retention lifecycle design, legal hold, eDiscovery readiness, and compliance schedules for PII, PHI, and PCI data across tiered and archival storage.
• Bring customer engagement, market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and the ability to communicate strategy to technical and executive audiences.
• Anticipate backup architecture, AI-driven anomaly detection, and data sovereignty trends and position differentiated enterprise-ready products.
