About This Role
Job purpose
:
Assist the unit’s business in effecting efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability by negotiating with suppliers to obtain services at the best prices.
The role holder is expected to use their strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their commodity industry
Sourcing
- Operate a transparent process that is compliant with the various laws and regulations in place by the business and the Government of Abu Dhabi.
- Conduct the corporate sourcing process in an ethical and compliant way and ensure it is aligned with international, local standards, laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all activities conducted during the corporate sourcing and selection process are above board and satisfactory to the ethical requirements of the business and the Government of Abu Dhabi.
- Update and maintain the Vendor Database with vendor pre-qualification, background checks, on-boarding, status and currency of registration (trade and commercial licenses etc.).
- Develop the quality performance guidelines and corrective actions for supplier performance improvement and manage milestone deliverables verification process.
Vendors & Supplier Relation
- Provide support to suppliers and facilitate their bidding process by answering any queries and routing them to the relevant personnel in a timely and efficient manner.
- Facilitate the pre-qualification of suppliers for Bidders lists (due diligence) with any applicable Business Partners to develop accuracy in the vendor/supplier selection process.
(e.g. Academic Qualification, Certifications, Licenses)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent and preferably a master’s degree.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Supply Management Sourcing
Skills Required
- Language: Full professional English
- Arabic proficiency both in speaking and writing desirable but not essential
- Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Administrative skills and attention to details
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to complete work in a timely manner
- Experience with business planning
- Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of corporate sourcing
