Senior Software Java Engineer - Customer Fulfilment

Role overview

Technology environment

• The distributed full-stack team uses Java, RxJava, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure, Splunk, AppDynamics, and New Relic.
• The platform includes microservices, backend APIs, rich user interfaces, eventing, and data-layer components.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance Java applications for customer fulfilment.
• Optimize application efficiency, scalability, and reliability; develop APIs and microservices for enterprise and third-party integration.
• Write clean, maintainable, documented code and troubleshoot complex issues affecting operations.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with hardware, data science, and operations teams.
• Support software through production using continuous integration and delivery.

Experience and technical skills

• Product-development experience using agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting reliable full-stack and distributed Java applications or products.
• Strong programming, language and framework knowledge; ability to test-drive features and debug complex problems.
• Apply design patterns and understand idempotence, domain modeling, CQRS, eventual consistency, and performance design.
• Automate work and build CI/CD pipelines; experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, Azure, and Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with globally distributed software engineering teams is a plus.
