Duties and responsibilities

• Own feature areas from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
• Design, build, and ship production-ready OIG features focused on correctness, reliability, and performance.
• Deliver bug fixes and handle customer-reported issues.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and uphold engineering quality.
• Partner with Product Development, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering to scope development and deployment work.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience and independent ownership of complex production features.
• Experience architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems for enterprise customers.
• Deep expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and data modeling at scale.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent JVM/cloud-native backend languages.
• Ability to influence technical alignment across teams and stakeholders.
• Experience designing for enterprise reliability, scalability, and security, including multi-tenancy, high availability, audit logging, and RBAC/ABAC.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferred experience

• Experience with IAM/IGA products, workflow engines or approval/routing systems, and enterprise SaaS is preferred.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and modern observability tooling is preferred.

Compensation

• The annual base salary range for candidates located in Canada is CAD $136,000–$187,000.
