Senior Software Engineer - Testing & Automation

Role Overview

Experience and Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on manual testing experience is required.
• 6+ years of healthcare or medical imaging domain experience is required.
• Strong understanding of DICOM, annotations, and medical imaging workflows is required.
• Knowledge of Verification and Validation processes, system testing, and regulatory compliance is required.
• Experience with hardware setup and configuration testing is required.
• Understanding of hospital workflows, patient journeys, EMR/EHR, HL7, and HIS/LIS/RIS systems is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills are required.
• Clinical experience or a healthcare-environment background is highly desirable.

Testing and Validation

• Plan, design, and execute manual test cases for healthcare software and systems.
• Perform system testing, integration testing, and Verification and Validation in compliance with medical device regulations.
• Validate DICOM workflows, medical imaging annotations, and interoperability between devices and healthcare systems.
• Conduct hardware setup and configuration testing.

Quality and Compliance

• Review and interpret clinical data to cover real-world use cases.
• Identify, log, and track defects with clear documentation, logs, and screenshots.
• Ensure adherence to FDA, HIPAA, and other relevant compliance standards.

Collaboration and Mentoring

• Work with product, development, and clinical teams to validate system behavior against healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality processes.
• Provide healthcare domain guidance and mentor junior QA engineers.

Healthcare Systems and Standards

• The role requires knowledge of DICOM, clinical workflows, medical imaging annotations, hospital workflows, EMR/EHR, HL7, and HIS/LIS/RIS systems.
• The role involves testing against medical device regulations and healthcare compliance requirements.
