Senior Software Engineer - Solution Lifecycle (Remote Eligible)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services for next-generation applications.
• Build, maintain, and scale core infrastructure for reliability, stability, and performance.
• Help manage and upgrade large-scale databases and replication topologies; automate operations with AWS, Go, MySQL, Terraform, Temporal, and GitLab CI.
• Collaborate through mob programming, code reviews, and architecture discussions with engineers and product managers.
• Use test-driven development and operational best practices; participate in team learning and retrospectives.
• Use AI tools to improve coding, testing, design, and troubleshooting, and coach others on effective AI use.
• Join a supportive on-call rotation, ramping up with experienced teammates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience and proficiency in at least one modern programming language; Go is a plus, and Java, Kotlin, or Python experience translates well.
• 3+ years of cloud technology experience, such as AWS or Azure; interest in learning Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and MySQL internals and reliability.
• 5+ years of software development experience building highly scalable, highly available applications, including developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs.
• Comfort with or eagerness to learn mob programming, test-driven code, and shared system ownership.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to troubleshoot complex systems and contribute to group discussions.
• 1+ year of professional experience using AI to improve productivity while building complex SaaS features.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.

Compensation

• Listed salary is USD 145,000–210,000 yearly.
