Senior Software Engineer, Red Platform

Role Overview

Where You'll Be

• Location is the Charlotte Metro Area, with office space in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
• This is a hybrid role with office work Tuesday through Thursday and optional remote work Monday and Friday.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end design, development, and implementation of sophisticated software applications and systems.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into robust technical designs and solutions.
• Write high-quality, efficient, maintainable, scalable code.
• Resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Perform code reviews and promote coding standards and best practices.
• Improve development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Monitor emerging technologies and frameworks to inform technology strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of software development experience focused on user-facing applications.
• 3+ years of expert-level hands-on experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with other programming languages such as Go and Python.
• Deep understanding of development methodologies and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience with software testing and AI code generation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with customer data platforms.
• Full-stack experience with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, NoSQL, Kafka, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

Compensation

• Starting salary is $118,650 to $160,000 per year, based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
