About the Role

Ashby is seeking a versatile, persistent product engineer who builds reusable components across the stack and advocates for time to do foundational work.

Engineers ship features end to end at a high pace and own projects with substantial product and technical agency.

The role combines the scale of a growth-stage company with the ownership and low-meeting environment of an early-stage startup.

Product Engineering Ownership

  • Own a large portion of a product and drive projects end to end.
  • Research competitors and customer needs, write product specifications, make product and design decisions, create wireframes, and implement solutions.
  • Work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure as needed to deliver features.
  • Build reusable abstractions, automation, and tools that create leverage for engineering and support teams.
