Senior Software Engineer, Product Development

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices.
• Build REST APIs and backend services for order management and supply chain applications.
• Implement product features and resolve production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, DevOps, and senior engineers.
• Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Build configurable capabilities for multiple enterprise customers.
• Follow CI/CD, automated testing, and secure development practices.
• Use AI tools responsibly for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and productivity.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• Experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design principles.
• Experience with SQL and/or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture.
• Good debugging, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Knowledge of order management, inventory, supply chain, warehouse management, or eCommerce applications.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Exposure to observability and monitoring tools.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.

AI-assisted engineering

• Comfort using AI tools in the daily development workflow.
• Use AI for code generation, refactoring, debugging, testing, documentation, and learning.
• Validate AI-generated code and remain accountable for solution quality.
