Senior Software Engineer, Platform

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure across networking, compute, storage, and security.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, staged releases, rollback strategies, and deployment observability.
• Improve local development environments so engineers can become productive quickly and catch issues early.
• Enable safe AI-assisted development within PCI-compliant infrastructure.
• Set the platform roadmap and prioritize investments with engineering leadership.
• Maintain PCI-DSS scoping, network segmentation, secrets management, access controls, and audit trails.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and observability for system health.
• Document patterns, write runbooks, and establish infrastructure standards.

Minimum requirements

• 5+ years of professional infrastructure or platform engineering experience operating production AWS environments at scale.
• Deep AWS expertise across services such as ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
• Fluency in declarative infrastructure as code, including versioning, review, and deployment.
• Security-minded expertise in network segmentation, least privilege, secrets management, and encryption.
• Proactive ownership and the ability to communicate infrastructure decisions and complex systems clearly.

Preferred experience

• Fintech, payments, or PCI-DSS-regulated environments.
• AI/ML development workflows, coding agents, or LLM-based tools.
• .NET on AWS, developer platforms or internal tooling, and observability or incident response.
• Kubernetes, particularly EKS on AWS.
