Senior Software Engineer – Margin Technology - Assistant Vice President

Role overview

What you will do

• Build technical solutions to complex business problems and participate across the software solution lifecycle.
• Work closely with product teams and users and contribute to engineering culture across global teams.
• The team aims to deliver an integrated, automated platform supporting client outcomes and growth.

Required skills and experience

• Hands-on professional software development experience and a relevant bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
• Programming proficiency mainly in Java, React, and/or Python; strong experience building RESTful APIs with frameworks such as Spring.
• Experience with TDD, clean code, data structures, algorithms, and SQL.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Beneficial experience

• Investment banking or financial services experience is beneficial.
• Cloud services such as AWS and distributed systems or technologies including Kafka, Kubernetes, S3, DynamoDB, and MongoDB are beneficial.

Workplace

• Hybrid working model, with up to two days working from home per week.
