Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience developing and supporting Java-based applications.
  • Experience building and maintaining Java services, APIs, and system-to-system integrations.
  • Experience with Kafka and/or MQ, or comparable enterprise messaging platforms, including producing and consuming messages, troubleshooting message-processing failures, and supporting reliable data flow between systems.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Experience monitoring application and integration performance; investigating alerts, failures, and production incidents; and supporting issue resolution.
  • Ability to analyze existing application logic and business processes and develop effective technical solutions.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and solve complex technical problems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly to business and technology partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle database experience, including Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience integrating Java applications with Oracle databases.
  • Experience improving application or integration performance, reliability, and operational monitoring.
  • Experience leading small development projects, technical workstreams, or mentoring less-experienced developers.

  • Salary Range: CAD $98,000- $120,000. Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location
