Flow Engineering provides an AI-native requirements platform for hardware teams to collaborate with AI agents on complex systems.

About the role

The senior software engineer builds connections between Flow and customer tools used across aerospace, defense, automotive, and adjacent industries.

The role connects engineering, product, and customers, and owns integration delivery and reliability after launch.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain integrations with PLM and ALM platforms, requirements tools, issue trackers, and version-control systems.
  • Implement data sync, mapping, transformation, conflict handling, and consistent records across systems.
  • Work with customer engineering and IT teams to scope integrations, understand data models, and launch deployments.
  • Design and maintain APIs and webhooks; monitor, handle errors, and debug production integrations.
  • Turn recurring customer needs into reusable patterns with forward-deployed and product engineers.

About you

  • 5+ years developing production software, including designing and operating services at scale in a cloud environment.
  • Experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations and strong understanding of REST, webhooks, and data synchronization.
  • Ability to debug across systems with limited visibility and to translate customer technical setups into integration plans.
  • Comfort taking ownership of scoping, building, and supporting work.
  • Familiarity with PLM, ALM, or systems engineering tools is a plus; exposure to defense, aerospace, or regulated hardware is a plus.

  • The stack includes TypeScript/Node.js and Python for backend and integration services.
  • The stack also includes REST and webhook-based APIs, message queues, and standard cloud infrastructure.

Compensation

  • The stated compensation range is $190,000–$250,000; no pay cadence is specified.
