The team builds scalable, highly available backend microservices and web interfaces used by millions globally.
Position Overview
The Senior SET owns test strategy, test automation, and quality engineering for backend services, cloud APIs, and web applications.
The role works with engineering teams, architects, product managers, and US cross-functional partners to deliver scalable automated testing for cloud infrastructure and admin portals.
Responsibilities
- Build reusable automation frameworks and performance suites for microservices, APIs, and web applications.
- Develop functional, integration, and end-to-end regression tests for security workflows, APIs, authentication, and web journeys.
- Reduce flaky tests and establish reliable pipeline quality gates.
- Contribute to product and architecture reviews, quality criteria, and technical risk analysis.
- Own test strategy, cases, execution, and estimates across the Access Essentials pillar.
- Automate support for refactoring, API migrations, and database or service optimization.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and partner with Infrastructure and SRE on test environments, data, and regression alerts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 5 years of SET/SDET experience focused on backend microservices, REST APIs, and web UI validation.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on web UI automation experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright and API testing with REST Assured, Karate, Postman, or gRPC tools.
- Deep understanding of microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, web automation, AWS distributed systems, CI/CD, and enterprise security standards.
