Senior Software Engineer II - Solution Lifecycle (Remote Eligible)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and maintain reliable, stable, high-performing core infrastructure.
• Help manage and upgrade large-scale databases, maintain replication topologies, and automate operations using AWS, Golang, MySQL, Terraform, Temporal, and GitLab CI.
• Collaborate through mob programming, collective code ownership, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
• Use test-driven development and participate in team learning and improvement practices.
• Use AI tools to improve engineering efficiency, explore team and product integrations, and coach teammates.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support system health.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of software development experience building highly scalable, highly available applications, and proficiency in a modern programming language.
• At least 3 years of cloud technology experience; experience with Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and database internals and reliability, including MySQL.
• Experience developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs.
• At least 1 year of professional experience using AI to improve productivity while building complex SaaS features.
• Interest in collaborative engineering, mob programming, test-driven development, and shared system ownership.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• BS or MS in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; ongoing US work eligibility.

Technical skills

• Go is a plus, not required; Java, Kotlin, and Python backgrounds can transfer.
