Role Overview
Join a collaborative engineering team developing and supporting the AIS platform for insurers, suppliers, police forces, and other organizations.
Work across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and operational support.
The platform uses AWS infrastructure, PHP, MySQL, and Angular to deliver insurance-technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and develop AIS platform features.
- Build and support PHP backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Develop and maintain Angular frontend interfaces.
- Design and optimize MySQL database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
- Resolve bugs, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Contribute to platform architecture, shared services, testing, CI/CD, deployments, documentation, and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with product managers on requirements, estimates, and iterative delivery.
- Provide third-level technical support when required.
Essential Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience building and maintaining commercial software systems.
- Strong server-side PHP development experience.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON integrations, MySQL, Angular, AWS, Git, CI/CD, and automated deployments.
- Methodical problem-solving, debugging, and production-support approach.
- Passion for technology and continuous learning.
Highly Desirable Experience
- Laravel, Symfony, or similar PHP framework experience.
- AWS serverless experience with Lambda, Step Functions, or API Gateway.
- Agile or Scrum experience, event-driven architecture, message-bus technologies, TDD, and clean architecture knowledge.
- Familiarity with AI development tools or AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Insurance or financial-services industry experience.
