Role Overview
The Securities Analytics and Products Group develops and maintains software solutions that safeguard GoDaddy's ecosystem.
The engineer will build secure, highly available, fault-tolerant, and globally performant microservices on AWS.
The role is primarily backend-focused with intermittent opportunities to contribute to frontend features.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain secure AWS code with unit and integration testing.
- Own frontend features and UI components from design through delivery when required.
- Investigate production issues and participate in DevOps on-call responsibilities.
- Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and engineer mentoring.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to create scalable data models.
- Instrument services with logs, metrics, and traces for performance and uptime.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, Fargate, Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Git-based workflows, and DevOps tools.
- Strong version control experience, preferably with Git.
- Hands-on capability with React, Angular, or a comparable UI framework when needed.
Additional Qualification
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, may be advantageous.
