Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack role in Capital One’s Risk Tech organization.
Risk Tech builds capabilities for risk management, regulatory requirements, AML, and compliance.
The role focuses on fullstack engineering for a SaaS application and cloud-based customer solutions.
What you’ll do
- Design, architect, and deliver distributed microservices-based, cloud-native, resilient, and scalable fullstack solutions.
- Use programming languages, relational and NoSQL databases, container orchestration, and AWS services.
- Promote engineering excellence, reuse, and inner-sourcing of solutions.
- Lead solution craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability.
- Collaborate with architects and product managers on cloud-based customer experiences.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience in one or more listed languages or frameworks; internships do not count.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- At least 1 year of experience with one or more of REST, Spring Boot, GraphQL, or Jenkins.
- At least 1 year of experience with containerization technologies.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 6+ years in one or more listed software technologies; 3+ years with cloud services; 2+ years with containerization or front-end development.
- Experience with open-source frameworks, Big Data, data security, governance and controls, or Agile practices is preferred.
