Role overview
Senior, backend-led full stack role building and operating business-critical services for enterprise clients.
The engineering consultancy emphasizes reliability, scalability and sound software development practices.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Kotlin or modern Java JVM services, APIs and integrations.
- Deliver end-to-end features connecting backend services with React interfaces.
- Contribute to technical discovery, architecture discussions, peer reviews and API design standards.
- Experiment with AI-assisted engineering tools and validate outputs for correctness and security.
- Work with engineers and stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.
What the employer is looking for
- Strong commercial experience with Kotlin or modern Java; Java 17 or later is preferred.
- Experience building and operating APIs and understanding service reliability, security and performance.
- Frontend experience with React.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, relational databases and modern agile development.
- Curiosity about AI-augmented engineering and willingness to develop new ways of working.
Compensation
- Salary range is £60,000–£80,000 plus bonus; the pay cadence is not specified.
Working arrangement
- Hybrid London working, with two days per week in the office.
