Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud services managing infrastructure and control planes on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, management, and monitoring of Teradata cloud services, sites, and offerings.
• Develop threat models to secure cloud platform services and meet compliance standards.
• Build and integrate AI-powered features and agent-based workflows using LLM technologies.
• Develop AI agents through ideation, prototyping, production releases, deployment, containerization, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with UX, product management, and platform teams on product ideas and technical designs.
• Use maintainable-code practices for usability, style, integration, testing, and code review; review team design, architecture, and code.

Minimum requirements

• Graduate or bachelor's degree in computer science.
• At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
• At least 3 years designing, building, and operating distributed complex software systems on Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.
• Experience with DevOps software development methods.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
• Proficiency in at least one modern general-purpose language, such as Go or Python.

Additional experience

• Full-stack development; RESTful services; familiarity with Teradata or other TDMS NoSQL/SQL database concepts.
• Docker-related technologies, Kubernetes management or services development, and support of mission-critical 24x7 systems.
• Scripting for automation, reporting, and tools; public-cloud infrastructure, network administration, and architecture at scale.
• AWS infrastructure-as-code experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience influencing engineering best practices.
