  • Experience building and managing cloud data pipelines, data products, or analytical platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality, governance, and optimisation.
  • Experience with AWS, cloud-native data technologies, and Snowflake or similar enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience designing and maintaining reliable, scalable data processing solutions and delivering production-ready software in agile teams.
  • Experience collaborating with data scientists, analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders.
  • Either a relevant third-level qualification and at least three years of commercial software development experience, or current valid industry-recognised certifications and at least five years of commercial software development experience.

Additional desirable experience

  • Experience supporting machine learning, data science, predictive modelling, or data platform governance, compliance, and security is desirable.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver scalable, high-quality, compliant datasets for insurance pricing and modelling.

  • Deliver secure, scalable AWS and Snowflake data solutions and collaborate with technical, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality, reliability, and compliance using engineering practices and automated testing.
  • Contribute to platform architecture; improve CI/CD processes and engineering standards; mentor engineers.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and improve the data engineering ecosystem.

Development opportunities

  • Develop deeper production-grade Python data engineering expertise and hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strengthen skills across data modelling, quality, governance, security, and optimisation.
