About Octopus Electroverse
Octopus Electroverse is building a global virtual charging platform for electric vehicle ownership.
The platform connects more than 1,400,000 electric vehicle chargers across web, mobile and automotive experiences.
The team is expanding internationally and building features for consumers, fleets, partners and new markets.

Develop backend services for the Electroverse ecosystem, focusing on core functionality, pricing and commercial stability.

What you'll do
- Improve pricing and discount mechanisms for the core product.
- Improve financial reporting accuracy and payment success rates across payment providers.
- Expand charging subscriptions for flexibility and scalability.
- Enable cross-functional product areas and deliver quality outcomes for customers.
- Support Operations with payment-related customer issues.
- Support Finance with accurate reporting systems.
What you'll need
- Passion for creating products and a mindset to learn and grow with the company.
- At least 3 years of software experience, preferably with Django or similar Python frameworks.
- Experience monitoring and debugging applications and infrastructure.
- Experience maintaining asynchronous processing systems such as AMQP or Celery.
- Ability to discuss vision and features and propose creative solutions.
- Knowledge of common security practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD.
- Ability to write robust and fault-tolerant software.
- Proficient understanding of Git.
Additional experience
- Experience with subscriptions and recurring payments.
- Experience with billing and invoicing flows.
- Experience with international commercial pricing and tax.
- Experience with KYC/KYB products and flows.
