The Senior Software Developer designs, develops, and scales core product features.
The role owns modules end to end and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
The engineer mentors colleagues and helps improve engineering practices.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance software systems.
- Own modules through design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build product features.
- Write maintainable, high-quality, scalable code and improve performance and system stability.
- Review code and mentor junior developers.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Java/J2EE experience and understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Experience building scalable and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with MongoDB, web services, and microservices architecture.
- Product-company, internet-company, or startup experience is preferred.
- E-commerce or travel domain experience is a plus.
Additional skills
- Strong understanding of design patterns and scalable architecture.
- Experience with performance optimization and debugging tools.
- Good knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
