Acceldata provides a data observability platform for monitoring data, data pipelines, and data infrastructure across environments.

The SaaS platform helps data teams manage data products, improve data quality, prevent failures, and control costs.

Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer will build, scale, and maintain core capabilities of the Data Observability suite.

The role works closely with frontend and product teams to create a reliable and scalable platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and improve key product features.
  • Investigate software-related complaints and adjust systems to improve performance.
  • Optimize open-source data engines.
  • Design, build, and maintain low-latency APIs.
  • Develop services consumed by frontend and solution engineering teams.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss projects and resolve issues.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience with JVM technologies such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
  • Strong data structures, algorithm design, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with database systems, RDBMS, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, enterprise software, and SQL.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Spark or Kafka.
  • Experience in data quality or data catalog technologies is preferred.
